The Ancient Joiner’s University with its Museum opens its doors to the mysteries and secrets of the ancient woodcraft, introducing the visitor to the current problems of the trade. A dynamic story, which meanders through tools, techniques and materials, seeking the diffi cult balance between the desire not to lose the traditional know-how and the need to adapt to current market needs. There are also rare pieces belonging to the University, whose origins date back to 1636, including the masterpieces made by aspiring masters, next to the modern xyloteque (wood exhibit) “Albero Azzurro” that combines manual craftsmanship with modern techniques, for some hands-on-experience with wood, introducing school children to the charm of this trade.
